Barcelona president meets with Quique Setien for crisis talks after La Liga failure

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu held crisis talks for Barcelona  with Barcelona  coach Quique Setien on Friday with the team in a exquisite situation after losing La Liga to Real Madrid.

Bartomeu wants to assess the coach's mind and see if Setien is strong enough to lead Barcelona across the crisis. Setien is given the mandate to manage the team on Sunday through the last game of La Liga season against Alaves and Bartomeu's idea is for him to still be in charge in Aug. 8, when they will play against Napoli in the return leg of the Champions League round of 16.

Lionel Messi's Barca current captain deprecatory remarks, branding the club "unstable" and "weak" while stating the need to "change a lot" following Thursday's 2-1 home defeat to Osasuna, his speech seems to be directed at Setien.
